Mrs. Hoffmann also assists in the daily operation and marketing of the company, including writing brokerage, management, and leasing proposals. In the last two years, Mrs. Hoffmann has also participates in commercial and residential sales transactions for commercial management clients. As a CCIM Candidate, Mrs. Hoffmann has completed the CCIM courses leading to the National Realtor's "Certified Commercial Investment Member" designation: CI 401 Introduction to Financial Analysis, CI 101 Commercial Financial Analysis, CI 201 Market Analysis for Commercial Real Estate, CI 301 Commercial Marketing Analysis, CI 402 Essentials of Marketing Commercial Investment Property and Services, and CI 407 Advanced Techniques in Marketing and Leasing. Prior to Mrs. Hoffmann joining Hoffmann, Zak & Associates, her experience encompassed services extremely useful to her real estate career such as insurance adjusting, commercial and personal insurance sales, public school administration, and environmental services marketing. As the Marketing Manager for America North, Inc., bought by EMCON in 1991, Mrs. Hoffmann was responsible for two years for writing bid proposals and putting together teams to respond to any RFP that was in the environmental field in Alaska. Her excellent writing, public relation, and management skills made her very successful in seeking out, submitting, and being awarded projects for the company. When the three year old company was sold to EMCON in 1991 for $22 million, Mrs. Hoffmann left the firm along with its co-founder, Glenn Akins, to pursue a career in commercial real estate.
